We are all seeking fulfillment because we were created to be in community and the only truly lasting fulfillment is a relationship with God. You can get some fulfillment from Earthly things, a job, life moments, goals etc. but the only lasting fulfillment, is one which won't fade or need to be reaquired again, and that is through a relationship with God.

Do you have an opinion on what the end game of this app will be? If zwift has a subscription fee, it helps them maintain the platform. But surely Mywhoosh cannot be free forever?

I was really excited for this game and had KS set up to notify me on its launch. But it's soooo expensive! For a few cards and cardboard boards, the full game with the two gameplay improving expansions is $108! Plus $32 for S&H. As far as I can tell there isn't enough content here or enough deluxe components to warrant that kind of price tag. I'm so sad because this game looks really fun, but sadly I can't justify backing it. Interesting that you think maybe I won't be missing out on a lot anyway. Also, their KS is obnoxious with a lot of FOMO messaging which I really object to. It used to work on me, but now it is actually more of a barrier that game creators are putting up between me and a decision to buy in. Their game has to be so good and so desirable for me to overlook a choice to engage in nasty marketing ploys. The lighting of the set is still really bright in the top left corner. Everything is washed out and there's a really glaring bright spot on your face. It looks uncomfortable and intense.

Hello! I would recommend to check Tsukuyumi campaign as well. It appeared on my radar from a couple of videos from EZBoardgames, and the game looks really cool.

We played it at DTW in March. Light, yes but it was interesting and fun! We just backed it.

How do you feel about everyone can get drafted? No more religious exemptions.

Note: Trekking the World 2nd Edition is a signficant redesign. The original core mechanic (set collection) has been replaced by a new one (drafting an itinerary each turn), and almost every other mechanic has been changed too (I'm one of the designers - thanks for covering it!).

Curious if you’ve looked at Effortless Prepping for Adventure. It just dropped on kickstarter. We played it at DTW and it was super fun!

Correction: The numbers you read for Ada were Pound not Euros which different to Euro vs DOllar is quite a significant difference.

Oof. That joke was pretty bad! Keep ‘em coming! I’m backing the phantom ink expansion. I enjoyed the base game, although I may have liked it more than the rest of my game group. Ah well. I was really interested in Ada’s Dream and Trekking the World, but I have a couple of pet peeves (subsidized VAT and pre-pledges) that save me money :) For next week, I’m curious about what you have to say about Odalin. I’m in for a base pledge at the moment but will likely drop it. I can wait a couple years for the 1.5 or ultimate version of the game.

Lotr Lcg is clearly the superior game, it's not an accident that is the lcg that has the greatest longevity, or the fact that after all the competitive ones died, Lotr Lcg not only it didn't but they also started making other games like it

Nice preview, though I wish there was more info on how it actually plays on the table. For example, is the combat theater of the mind or grid-based? How long does it take usually? Is there guidance on how to build encounters? Can the GM easily homebrew their own monsters/NPCs? Is the game built for long, epic campaigns with extensive drawn-out progression or can you reach a nice resolution for everyone in a few sessions? Minor pet peeve of mine, most RPG reviews and previews spend the bulk of their time talking about the player-facing stuff, but it's a known quantity that it's the GM who usually buys these books. So why not address their pain points first and foremost? :(

I think the Joker would appreciate being called The Greatest Showman. Loved this video so much! I can't wait to open up the multiverse stuff with my kiddos and have painting sessions with them.

Really appreciate the review, Alex! I was looking for a fast, area control game, but the minute you suggested Fractured Sky was BETTER than this, I knew I was out. Sold Fractured Sky after 2 playthroughs (4 & 5 players) with 2 different groups. If Yield is inferior to Fractured Sky, I gotta drop my pledge.

There is always room for growth it's about how you manage your expectations and what you strive for, surround yourself with positive people that will build you up and guide you through your journey.

I have 4 kids, they are cute, yours is cute. But I really wanted to to DC United presented more straight forward.

I couldn't decide between this or Blood...Went with Both...for the time being. I'm more keen on Blood, due to the fact that AR handling of the "prototype" version of this game is been wonky. However AR usually delivers and I truly hope that's the case for Grimcoven. Last thing I need is for the first AR game I decide to back, to completely bomb.
